Overall, great conditions! We groomed Thursday Night / Friday Evening / Sunday Evening and on the Sunday groom, ran into our electrical fault from last year. We trialed the groomer last night, but there’s still a slow draw somewhere on the old Bombardier! All ok though, it just requires a little more logistics around getting in and out of the trail – if you notice a strange trackset, it might have been a result of that. The snow we have now is perfect, and I’m trying to get the trail as wide as I can (if you notice weird half tracksets on the opposite side, don’t mind me 🙂 haha).
Everything has been groomed at least once since last Thursday’s weather, and most of it has been hit a couple of times. The club’s facebook and social media pages have been getting an overhaul this year, which have really messaged the ongoing events we’ve been having.
Snowshoers / Skiers have coexisted extremely well the last few weeks, so this again shows typically any issues we run into are awareness based, not intentional, so if you notice things on the trail – please assist in spreading the word on trail etiquette.
The last few food vendors have been tremendous to have on site, and we continue to see more and more new faces! Overall, our membership is strong this year, and the traffic through the rental shop has been great to see as well.
Its a delicate dance to groom around the snow, while getting as much mileage off of each one we can – so looking at the snow coming Thursday/Friday and should have everything looking great for the weekend. Check our social media for upcoming events, including the Club200, Blend n’ Brew Trivia, Tipsy Farmers Breakfast, and more!
Enjoy!!
