All trails are groomed and in awesome shape! Happy MARCH!
We were counting on that snow this week, and were devastated by the rain; however, with it setting / freezing – the trails are looking awesome. Some areas of concern have resolved themselves. We are thankful for the frost packing recommendation that we did in December to help get a solid frozen base this year – it seems to be helping. The next few days seems to be sitting around -1 / -2 which will keep the base solid and the groom will stay relatively tight.
There is the occasional dark spot on the trail, but most is covered in ice / frozen and doesn’t affect skiing. The first spot to go this year is looking like Josie Louis Loop! So get that one in while you can. Luckily, it’s mainly the back area on that loop that is beginning to expose. The groomer put in some serious hours tonight and got all of that ice beat down into a well-set classic track. The skate area is maintaining its width and is also quite fast as of midnight.
We are looking forward to a busy day in the rental shop as well as for Loaf and Ladle / Trivia. We have Bogside on tap tonight, and for those of you who didn’t get a chance to order your t-shirt yet – we will have a sample at trivia to show, there are still 20 or so left and will arrive by next Friday!!!
Every ski at this point is a bonus! Get out there and enjoy what’s left of our season.
Thank you for the support!!
